FAQ
What is the Einbürgerungstest?
It is the German citizenship test: 33 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, and you need 17 correct to pass. A similar test, Leben in Deutschland, is taken at the end of the integration course.
Is the real test in English?
No, the real test is in German. Our questions are in English with key German words, and the mock exam uses German labels such as Aufgabe (question), so the real test feels familiar.
Are these the official questions?
No. These are our own practice questions on the same topics, with explanations. Always check the official question catalogue and the latest rules published by the BAMF before your exam.
Is this an official government website?
No. GH Expat Prep is an independent study service and is not affiliated with the BAMF or any government body.
